Bachata is a percussion and string musical rhythm originating in the Dominican Republic, which has its roots in Cuban son and African rhythms. The musical style is a hybrid, derived from a mixture of the bolero and other Latin and Caribbean rhythms. It has its beginnings in the early twentieth century.

HEAR FROM OUR BACHATEROS

I went to the Dominican Republic with Juan's group in April 2018. The amount of excursions, night clubs, concerts and places we were able to visit was amazing.
 
I know I wouldn't have seen a lot of that had I traveled there on my own. It was great being with a local that not only knows the country but also has the connections to take everyone to all these great places!
 
I felt incredibly safe traveling with Juan and the group as well. Getting to take classes from different instructors throughout the trip was an added bonus to an incredible trip. I would love to go again!
